Spanish La Liga outfit Real Sociedad have completed the signing of Borussia Dortmund striker Alexander Isak.
The 19-year-old scored 13 goals in 16 Eredivisie appearances whilst on loan at Willem II during the second half of last season.
Isak joined Borussia Dortmund as a 17-year-old from AIK having broke through into the first team in Sweden a year earlier. Reports at the time suggested the striker joined the Bundesliga giants instead of Real Madrid. The 6’3″ striker has six caps for the Swedish national team, scoring two goals.
Borussia Dortmund completed the signing of striker Paco Alcacer from FC Barcelona in November, leaving Isak with limited opportunities at Signal Iduna Park.
Alexander Isak has a bright future ahead of him and should see first-team opportunities at Real Sociedad, who finished ninth in the Spanish top flight last season. However, the Basque club do have William Jose up front. The Brazilian has been a consistent performer during his three years at the club.
