Arjen Robben Undergoes Groin Operation

Having only returned to Munich yesterday from international duty with the Netherlands, Arjen Robben has undergone a groin operation.

On his return to the Allianz Arena, Robben was met by Bayern Munich’s club doctor Dr. Hans-Wilhelm Müller-Wohlfahrt.

The medical team anticipate the Dutch forward will be ready to train again within 10 days.

Robben has already missed five weeks of the season after suffering with a persistent pelvic injury, scoring on his September 24 return in a 3-0 victory over Bayer Leverkusen.

He made subsequent appearances as a substitute in the Champions League against Manchester City, and then 45 minutes versus 1899 Hoffenheim last weekend.

The Dutchman is set to miss Bayern’s home tie with Hertha Berlin next Saturday.
