Eintracht Frankfurt are hoping to land Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner during the next week ahead of 26 June when training begins ahead of the 2013-14 German Bundesliga season.
Eintracht Frankfurt chairman Heribert Bruchhagen was quoted by Danish newspaper Sporten:
“We are in serious talks with Bendtner”
Head coach Armin Veh has also previously expressed interest in the target man.
Nicklas Bendtner has a son living in London and has also just purchased an apartment in central Copenhagen. Frankfurt offers good connections to both London and Copenhagen as well as European football next season after the Eagles finished 6th and qualified for the UEFA Europa League.
The striker’s contract with Arsenal has one more year left on the deal but Bendtner is out-of-favour with manager Arsene Wenger who sent him out of loan to Italian Serie A giants Juventus last season. The previous season he had been loaned out to fellow Premier League team Sunderland having failed to impress during his time at the Emirates Stadium.
